Lucille Ball didn't enjoy watching some of the earlier episodes of I Love Lucy

Lucille Ball didn't need a scrapbook to take a walk down memory lane; all she had to do was turn on the television.

As the star of hit shows like Life with Lucy and Here's Lucy, Ball had starred in a hefty amount of shows. But no show was quite as impressive and important as I Love Lucy.

It was the series that made Ball a star and catapulted her into fame. However, during a recent interview, Ball revealed that she wasn't especially interested in reliving those glory days.

"I don't like some of the shows that I look at," said Ball during an interview with The Roanoke Times. "Some of the old I Love Lucy's are silly."

We are always more critical of ourselves than other people are, usually without warrant. Ball was no exception.

"Sometimes," said Lucy. "I study them and enjoy them and wish I'd done it differently a lot of times - most of the time - but very few I really laugh at."

However, Ball wasn't disparaging the entirety of I Love Lucy. Rather, she was more critical of some of the earlier episodes, though she had a certain fondness for some of the shows that she starred in after I Love Lucy had ended.

"The ones we made when we were just starting, they grate me a little. But I love the later shows. I love the ones I did with the kids - Here's Lucy - and I liked the ones where we moved up to Connecticut. Whatever they were called."
